That word is not a dirty word. And the funny thing is, I’ve been saying it for years. I think ‘preachers’ are secretly watching/reading my stuff, and finally getting the message:
REPENT!
Some people ignore me because they see [what they perceive to be] sin in me. They think they intuit something about me, and they judge me, so they stop listening. Eh bien; I am but a faulty messenger. But, I do echo the message of Yeshua.
I often cite the Seven Letters and inform people that Yeshua was talking to Congregations! “Churches”, when He says over and over, “REPENT”!
Twice this week I have finally seen prominent preachers cite these letters and encourage repentance; I wonder if they will begin to understand what actual Biblical repentance is: turning back to the Way of God: the Torah that Yeshua observes.
The purpose of those letters was to prepare the Congregations for LAST THINGS. Right after those letters, where Yeshua DETAILS “how” to prepare to be in His Presence, the Shofar blasts, and Yokhanan, ‘John’, is CAUGHT UP.
Guess what, “Caught up” means RAPTURED.
One will NOT participate in the ‘catching away’ if one does not “HEAR” what the Breath of God [Ru’akh, ie “Spirit”, not a separate ‘person’] emanating from Yeshua says to the Congregations… He said that SEVEN TIMES, on the heals of correcting Congregational error.
Yet congregations today are steeped in error and refuse to correct it:
Left your first love: Ephesus was taught to study Torah and worship on the Sabbath. All the early congregations were given the Jewish customs as a way of life [1 Cor 11:1-2, 2 Thess 2:15, 3:5
Saying they are Jews but are not, but liars: Smyrna was following Shammai, following Rabbinic law and Not God’s law: Genesis through Deuteronomy.
The teaching of Bilam, ‘ministry’ for money: Pergamos created “clergy versus laity”, [Nicolaitan] preachers in it for money, just as Paul had warned about [Phil 1:17]
Izevel mixes Baalism with true faith: Thyatira had a spirit of Jezebel, the ‘harlotry’ was that of worshipping God along with the fertility goddesses of antiquity. Bunny, Eggs, Evergreen Trees; trinity; madonnas, etc… wives governing husbands and not submitting to The Word of יהוה .
Dead, sleeping, not awake: LIFE is the essence of Salvation; Sardis was forgetting the present and future resurrection, and that is tantamount to leaving the faith. There are many who confess Him risen, but then fall asleep and do not contend for the faith of the Resurrection.
Weakening in the face of persecution: Philadelphia was making it, but Yeshua had to encourage them not to fold to the Nicolaitans; eventually, all of ‘christendom’ did, when Constantine overtook it, and started murdering anyone who passively resisted.
Living life just like the world and not knowing it: Laodicea was prosperous, and they thought that meant that they were “blessed of God and highly favored”. But the truth of it is, many who think they are being saved are actually miserable, and helpless, and poor, and blind, and naked. Yeshua’s words, not mine.
If you want to know you are His Bride, be certain of being ‘caught away’, then begin to study His Bridal Contract, the entire word of God, whereas most of the harlot has torn out the stuff that must be done, only to bask in the blessing of the bride price. That’s a harlot.
Wake up!
