If you have read this series from beginning to end, perhaps you expected it to end with a verdict. Instead, I hope it ends with an invitation. An invitation to return to the Scriptures. An invitation to listen again to the words of the prophets, the Messiah, and the apostles before allowing later traditions, inherited expressions, or familiar formulas to shape our understanding.
This series was never written to diminish Yeshua. Nothing could be further from my purpose. The Son of God is the greatest Man who has ever lived. Before Abraham was, He was within the Father. Before the foundation of the world, the Father loved Him. Through Him, יהוה brought all things into being.
The Word became flesh and was called the “Son of God”. He obeyed perfectly. He revealed the Father flawlessly. He gave His life for the sheep. He conquered death. He ascended into heaven. He now reigns at the right hand of the Almighty God. One day every knee will bow before Him. Every tongue will confess Him. Every enemy will be placed beneath His feet.
There has never been anyone like Him. There never will be. Divine, but a perfect human. Yet throughout His earthly life—and even in His exaltation—Yeshua continually directed attention away from Himself and toward His Father.
“My Father…” “My God…” “The One who sent Me…” “The only true God…”
If those were the words most often on His lips, perhaps they should be more often on ours. Likewise, the apostles did not invent a new God. They proclaimed the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of Israel. They proclaimed that יהוה had fulfilled His promises by sending His Messiah. They proclaimed that יהוה raised Him from the dead. They proclaimed that יהוה exalted Him. They proclaimed that יהוה gave Him all authority.
Their language was remarkably consistent. Perhaps ours should be as well. This is not about winning arguments. It is not about proving someone wrong. It is not about replacing one theological system with another. It is about loving the truth enough to let Scripture speak for itself.
If, at any point in this series, you found yourself opening your Bible to verify what you had always assumed… Then this series has accomplished its purpose. Because every believer should desire to know the Father as Yeshua knew Him. To know the Son as the apostles proclaimed Him. And to speak of both with the same reverence, precision, and joy found in the Scriptures themselves.
The more closely our words resemble theirs… The more faithfully we represent the One whom they proclaimed. May we never be content merely to repeat what we have inherited. May we continually test every doctrine, every tradition, and every expression against the written Word of יהוה. May we honor the Father as the only true God. May we honor His beloved Son as the Messiah, whom He sent into the world, raised from the dead, and exalted above every name.
And may the confession of Peter remain our own: “You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God.”
For to know the Son is to know the One who sent Him. And to glorify the Son is to glorify the Father. May all glory, honor, and praise be to יהוה, through His beloved Son, Yeshua the Messiah— now and forever.
