1By David. יהוה is my light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? יהוה is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
2When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.
3Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise up against me, even then will I be confident.
4One thing have I asked of יהוה , that will I seek after: that I may dwell in Beit יהוה all the days of my life, to behold the kindness of יהוה , and to visit early in His Heikhal.
5For He conceals me in His Sukka in the day of evil; He hides me in the covert of His Ohel; He lifts me up upon a Rock.
6And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; and I will offer in His Ohel sacrifices with a blast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises unto יהוה .
7Hear, O יהוה , when I call with my voice, and be gracious unto me, and answer me.
8In Your behalf my heart has said, “Seek My face”; Your face, O יהוה , will I seek.
9Hide not Your face from me; put not Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; cast me not off, neither forsake me, O Elohim of my Salvation.
10For though my father and my mother have forsaken me, יהוה will take me up.
11Teach me Your Derekh, O יהוה ; and lead me in an even path, because of them that lie in wait for me.
12Deliver me not over unto the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out violence.
13If I had not believed to look upon the goodness of יהוה in the land of the living!
14Wait for יהוה ; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for יהוה .
אלְדָוִד: יהוה אוֹרִי וְיִשְׁעִי מִמִּי אִירָא; יהוה מָעוֹז חַיַּי מִמִּי אֶפְחָד.
בבִּקְרֹב עָלַי מְרֵעִים לֶאֱכֹל אֶת בְּשָׂרִי: צָרַי וְאֹיְבַי לִי; הֵמָּה כָשְׁלוּ וְנָפָלוּ.
גאִם תַּחֲנֶה עָלַי מַחֲנֶה לֹא יִירָא לִבִּי: אִם תָּקוּם עָלַי מִלְחָמָה בְּזֹאת אֲנִי בוֹטֵחַ.
דאַחַת שָׁאַלְתִּי מֵאֵת יהוה אוֹתָהּ אֲבַקֵּשׁ: שִׁבְתִּי בְּבֵית יהוה כָּל יְמֵי חַיַּי; לַחֲזוֹת בְּנֹעַם יהוה וּלְבַקֵּר בְּהֵיכָלוֹ.
הכִּי יִצְפְּנֵנִי בְּסֻכֹּה בְּיוֹם רָעָה: יַסְתִּרֵנִי בְּסֵתֶר אָהֳלוֹ; בְּצוּר יְרוֹמְמֵנִי.
ווְעַתָּה יָרוּם רֹאשִׁי עַל אֹיְבַי סְבִיבוֹתַי וְאֶזְבְּחָה בְאָהֳלוֹ זִבְחֵי תְרוּעָה; אָשִׁירָה וַאֲזַמְּרָה לַיהוה .
זשְׁמַע יהוה קוֹלִי אֶקְרָא; וְחָנֵּנִי וַעֲנֵנִי.
חלְךָ אָמַר לִבִּי בַּקְּשׁוּ פָנָי; אֶת פָּנֶיךָ יהוה אֲבַקֵּשׁ.
טאַל תַּסְתֵּר פָּנֶיךָ מִמֶּנִּי אַל תַּט בְּאַף עַבְדֶּךָ: עֶזְרָתִי הָיִיתָ; אַל תִּטְּשֵׁנִי וְאַל תַּעַזְבֵנִי אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעִי.
יכִּי אָבִי וְאִמִּי עֲזָבוּנִי; וַיהוה יַאַסְפֵנִי.
יאהוֹרֵנִי יהוה דַּרְכֶּךָ: וּנְחֵנִי בְּאֹרַח מִישׁוֹר לְמַעַן שׁוֹרְרָי.
יבאַל תִּתְּנֵנִי בְּנֶפֶשׁ צָרָי: כִּי קָמוּ בִי עֵדֵי שֶׁקֶר וִיפֵחַ חָמָס.
יגלוּלֵא הֶאֱמַנְתִּי לִרְאוֹת בְּטוּב יהוה : בְּאֶרֶץ חַיִּים.
ידקַוֵּה אֶל יהוה : חֲזַק וְיַאֲמֵץ לִבֶּךָ; וְקַוֵּה אֶל יהוה .
