1“O give thanks unto יהוה , for He is good, for His compassion endures forever.”
2So let the redeemed of יהוה say, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; they found no city of habitation.
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6Then they cried unto יהוה in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.
7And He led them by a straight way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
8Let them give thanks unto יהוה for His compassion, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
9For He has satisfied the longing soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with good.
10Such as sat in darkness and in Tzal-Mavet, being bound in affliction and iron
11because they rebelled against the words of Elohim, and showed contempt for the counsel of Elyon.
12Therefore He humbled their heart with travail, they stumbled, and there was none to help.
13They cried unto יהוה in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands assunder.
15Let them give thanks unto יהוה for His compassion, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
16For He has broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron assunder.
17Crazed because of the way of their transgression, and afflicted because of their iniquities,
18Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near unto the gates of death.
19They cried unto יהוה in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses;
20He sent His D’var, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.
21Let them give thanks unto יהוה for His compassion, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
22And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with singing.
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters,
24These saw the works of יהוה , and His wonders in the deep;
25For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves thereof;
26They mounted up to the heaven, they went down to the deeps; their soul melted away because of trouble;
27They reeled to and fro, and staggered like a drunken man, and all their wisdom was swallowed up.
28They cried unto יהוה in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses.
29He made the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof were still.
30Then were they glad because they were quiet, and He led them unto their desired haven.
31Let them give thanks unto יהוה for His compassion, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
32Let them exalt Him also in the congregation of the people, and praise Him in the seat of the elders.
33He turns rivers into a wilderness, and watersprings into a thirsty ground;
34A fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
35He turns a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into watersprings.
36And there He makes the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
37And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase.
38He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and suffers not their cattle to decrease.
39Again, they are diminished and dwindle away through oppression of evil and sorrow.
40He pours contempt upon princes, and causes them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.
41Yet He sets the needy on high from affliction, and makes his families like a flock.
42The upright see it, and are glad; and all iniquity stops her mouth.
43Whoever is wise, let him observe these things, and let them consider the compassions of יהוה .
אהֹדוּ לַיהוה כִּי טוֹב: כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ.
ביֹאמְרוּ גְּאוּלֵי יהוה אֲשֶׁר גְּאָלָם מִיַּד צָר.
גוּמֵאֲרָצוֹת קִבְּצָם: מִמִּזְרָח וּמִמַּעֲרָב; מִצָּפוֹן וּמִיָּם.
דתָּעוּ בַמִּדְבָּר בִּישִׁימוֹן דָּרֶךְ; עִיר מוֹשָׁב לֹא מָצָאוּ.
הרְעֵבִים גַּם צְמֵאִים נַפְשָׁם בָּהֶם תִּתְעַטָּף.
ווַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל יהוה בַּצַּר לָהֶם; מִמְּצוּקוֹתֵיהֶם יַצִּילֵם.
זוַיַּדְרִיכֵם בְּדֶרֶךְ יְשָׁרָה לָלֶכֶת אֶל עִיר מוֹשָׁב.
חיוֹדוּ לַיהוה חַסְדּוֹ; וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם.
טכִּי הִשְׂבִּיעַ נֶפֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָה; וְנֶפֶשׁ רְעֵבָה מִלֵּא טוֹב.
ייֹשְׁבֵי חֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת; אֲסִירֵי עֳנִי וּבַרְזֶל.
יאכִּי הִמְרוּ אִמְרֵי אֵל; וַעֲצַת עֶלְיוֹן נָאָצוּ.
יבוַיַּכְנַע בֶּעָמָל לִבָּם; כָּשְׁלוּ וְאֵין עֹזֵר.
יגוַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל יהוה בַּצַּר לָהֶם; מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵם.
ידיוֹצִיאֵם מֵחֹשֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָוֶת; וּמוֹסְרוֹתֵיהֶם יְנַתֵּק.
טויוֹדוּ לַיהוה חַסְדּוֹ; וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם.
טזכִּי שִׁבַּר דַּלְתוֹת נְחֹשֶׁת; וּבְרִיחֵי בַרְזֶל גִּדֵּעַ.
יזאֱוִלִים מִדֶּרֶךְ פִּשְׁעָם; וּמֵעֲוֹנֹתֵיהֶם יִתְעַנּוּ.
יחכָּל אֹכֶל תְּתַעֵב נַפְשָׁם; וַיַּגִּיעוּ עַד שַׁעֲרֵי מָוֶת.
יטוַיִּזְעֲקוּ אֶל יהוה בַּצַּר לָהֶם; מִמְּצֻקוֹתֵיהֶם יוֹשִׁיעֵם.
כיִשְׁלַח דְּבָרוֹ וְיִרְפָּאֵם; וִימַלֵּט מִשְּׁחִיתוֹתָם.
כאיוֹדוּ לַיהוה חַסְדּוֹ; וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם.
כבוְיִזְבְּחוּ זִבְחֵי תוֹדָה; וִיסַפְּרוּ מַעֲשָׂיו בְּרִנָּה.
כגיוֹרְדֵי הַיָּם בָּאֳנִיּוֹת; עֹשֵׂי מְלָאכָה בְּמַיִם רַבִּים.
כדהֵמָּה רָאוּ מַעֲשֵׂי יהוה ; וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו בִּמְצוּלָה.
כהוַיֹּאמֶר וַיַּעֲמֵד רוּחַ סְעָרָה; וַתְּרוֹמֵם גַּלָּיו.
כויַעֲלוּ שָׁמַיִם יֵרְדוּ תְהוֹמוֹת; נַפְשָׁם בְּרָעָה תִתְמוֹגָג.
כזיָחוֹגּוּ וְיָנוּעוּ כַּשִּׁכּוֹר; וְכָל חָכְמָתָם תִּתְבַּלָּע.
כחוַיִּצְעֲקוּ אֶל יהוה בַּצַּר לָהֶם; וּמִמְּצוּקֹתֵיהֶם יוֹצִיאֵם.
כטיָקֵם סְעָרָה לִדְמָמָה; וַיֶּחֱשׁוּ גַּלֵּיהֶם.
לוַיִּשְׂמְחוּ כִי יִשְׁתֹּקוּ; וַיַּנְחֵם אֶל מְחוֹז חֶפְצָם.
לאיוֹדוּ לַיהוה חַסְדּוֹ; וְנִפְלְאוֹתָיו לִבְנֵי אָדָם.
לבוִירוֹמְמוּהוּ בִּקְהַל עָם; וּבְמוֹשַׁב זְקֵנִים יְהַלְלוּהוּ.
לגיָשֵׂם נְהָרוֹת לְמִדְבָּר; וּמֹצָאֵי מַיִם לְצִמָּאוֹן.
לדאֶרֶץ פְּרִי לִמְלֵחָה; מֵרָעַת יוֹשְׁבֵי בָהּ.
להיָשֵׂם מִדְבָּר לַאֲגַם מַיִם; וְאֶרֶץ צִיָּה לְמֹצָאֵי מָיִם.
לווַיּוֹשֶׁב שָׁם רְעֵבִים; וַיְכוֹנְנוּ עִיר מוֹשָׁב.
לזוַיִּזְרְעוּ שָׂדוֹת וַיִּטְּעוּ כְרָמִים; וַיַּעֲשׂוּ פְּרִי תְבוּאָה.
לחוַיְבָרְכֵם וַיִּרְבּוּ מְאֹד; וּבְהֶמְתָּם לֹא יַמְעִיט.
לטוַיִּמְעֲטוּ וַיָּשֹׁחוּ מֵעֹצֶר רָעָה וְיָגוֹן.
משֹׁפֵךְ בּוּז עַל נְדִיבִים; וַיַּתְעֵם בְּתֹהוּ לֹא דָרֶךְ.
מאוַיְשַׂגֵּב אֶבְיוֹן מֵעוֹנִי; וַיָּשֶׂם כַּצֹּאן מִשְׁפָּחוֹת.
מביִרְאוּ יְשָׁרִים וְיִשְׂמָחוּ; וְכָל עַוְלָה קָפְצָה פִּיהָ.
מגמִי חָכָם וְיִשְׁמָר אֵלֶּה; וְיִתְבּוֹנְנוּ חַסְדֵי יהוה .
