1“Judge not, that you may not be judged. 2For with the same judgment that you judge, you will be judged, and with the same measure with which you measure, it will be measured to you. 3Why do you see the splinter which is in your brother’s eye, and do not feel the beam which is in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take out the splinter from your eye,’ and behold, there is a beam in your own eye? 5O hypocrites, first take out the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to get out the splinter from your brother’s eye.”
6“Do not give consecrated things to the dogs; and do not throw your pearls before the swine, for they might tread them with their feet, and then turn and devour you.”
7“Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. 8For whoever asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door is opened. 9Or who is the man among you, who when his son asks him for bread, will he indeed hand him a stone? 10Or if he should ask him for a fish, will he indeed hand him a snake? 11If therefore you who err know how to give good gifts to your sons, how much more will Avikhem in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him? 12Whatever you wish men to do for you, do likewise also for them; for this is the Torah and the Nevi’im. 13Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the road which leads to Abadon, and many are those who travel on it. 14O how narrow is the gate, and how difficult is the road which leads to life, and few are those who are found on it.”
15“Be careful of false prophets who come to you in lamb’s clothing, but within they are ravening wolves. 16You will know them by their fruits. Do they indeed gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17So every good tree bears good fruits; but a bad tree bears bad fruits. 18A good tree cannot bear bad fruits, neither can a bad tree bear good fruits. 19Any tree which does not bear good fruits will be cut down and cast into the fire. 20Thus by their fruits you will know them.”
21“It is not everyone who merely says to me, ‘My Adon, My Adon,’ who will enter into Malkhut HaShamayim, but he who does the will of Avi Sh’baShamayim. 22A great many will say to me in that day, ‘My Adon, My Adon, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out devils, and in your name do many wonders? 23Then I will declare to them, “I have never known you; depart from Me, O you that work iniquity.”
24“Therefore whoever hears these words of mine, and does them, he is like a wise man, who built his house upon a rock. 25And the rain came down, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house; but it did not fall down, because its foundations were laid upon a rock. 26And whoever hears these words of mine, and does them not, is like a foolish man, who built his house upon sand. 27And the rain came down, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house; and it fell down, and its fall was very great.”
28And it happened when Yeshua finished these words, the crowds were stunned at His teaching. 29For He taught them as one in authority, and not like their own Sofrim and the P’rushim.
אאַל תִּשְׁפֹטוּ לְמַעַן אֲשֶׁר לֹא תִּשָׁפֵטוּ. בכִּי בַמִּשְׁפָּט אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם שֹׁפְטִים תִּשָׁפֵטוּ וּבַמִּדָּה אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם מֹדֲדִים יִמַּד לָכֶם. גוְלָמָּה זֶּה תִרְאֶה אֶת הַקֵּיסָם בְּעֵין אָחִיךָ וְאֶל הַקּוֹרָה אֲשֶׁר בְּעֵינְךָ לֹא תַבִּיט. דוְאֵיךְ תֹּאמַר אֶל אָחִיךָ הַנִּיחָה לִּי וְאָסִיר אֶת הַקֵּיסָם מֵעֵינֶךָ וְהִנֵּה הַקּוֹרָה בְּעֵינֶךָ. ההֶחָנֵף הָסֵר בָּרִאשׁוֹנָה אֶת הַקּוֹרָה מֵעֵינְךָ וְאַחֲרֵי כֵן רָאֹה תִרְאֶה לְהָסִיר אֶת הַקֵּיסָם מֵעֵין אָחִיךָ.
ואַל תִּתְּנוּ אֶת הַקֹּדֶשׁ לַכְּלָבִים וְאַל תַּשְׁלִיכוּ פְנִינֵיכֶם לִפְנֵי הַחֲזִירִים פֶּן יִרְמְסוּם בְּרַגְלֵיהֶם וּפַנוּ וְטָרְפוּ אֶתְכֶם.
זבַּקְּשׁוּ וְיִנָּתֵן לָכֶם חַפְּשׂוּ וְתִמְצָאוּ דִּפְקוּ וְיִפָּתַח לָכֶם. חכִּי כָּל הַמְבַקֵּשׁ לוֹקֵחַ וְהַמְחַפֵּשׂ יִמְצָא וְהַדֹּפֵק יִפָּתַח לוֹ. טהֲיֵשׁ בָּכֶם אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יְבַקֵּשׁ מִמֶּנּוּ בְּנוֹ לָחֶם וְנָתַן לוֹ אָבֶן. יוְכִי יִשְׁאַל מִמֶּנּוּ דָּג הֲיִתֶּן לוֹ נָחָשׁ. יאהֵן אַתֶּם הָרָעִים יֹדְעִים לָתֵת מַתָּנוֹת טֹבוֹת לִבְנֵיכֶם אַף כִּי אֲבִיכֶם שֶׁבַּשָׁמַיִם יִתֵּן אַךְ טוֹב לַשֹׁאֲלִים מֵאִתּוֹ. יבלָכֵן כֹּל אֲשֶׁר תִּרְצוּ שֶׁיַּעֲשׂוּ לָכֶם בְּנֵי הָאָדָם עֲשׂוּ לָהֶם גַּם אַתֶּם כִּי זֹאת הַתּוֹרָה וְהַנְּבִיאִים. יגבֹּאוּ בַּפֶּתַח הַצָּר כִּי רָחָב הַפֶּתַח וּמְרֻוַּחַת דֶּרֶךְ הָאֲבַדּוֹן וְרַבִּים אֲשֶׁר יָבֹאוּ בוֹ. ידוְצַר הַפֶּתַח וּמוּצָק דֶּרֶךְ הָחַיִּים וּמְעַטִּים הֵם אֲשֶׁר יִמְצְאוּהָ.
טוהִשָׁמְרוּ לָכֶם מִנְּבִיאֵי הַשָׁקֶר הַבָּאִים אֲלֵיכֶם בִּלְבוּשׁ כְּבָשִׂים וּבְקִרְבָּם זְאֵבִים טֹרְפִים הֵמָּה. טזהַכֵּר תַּכִּירוּ אוֹתָם בְּפֵרוֹתֵיהֶם הֲיֵאָסְפוּ עֲנָבִים מִן הַקֹּצִים אוֹ תְאֵנִים מִן הַבַּרְקָנִים. יזכֵּן כָּל עֵץ טוֹב עֹשֶׂה פְּרִי טוֹב וְהַנִּשְׁחָת עֹשֶׂה פְּרִי רָע. יח עֵץ טוֹב לֹא יוּכַל עֲשׂוֹת פְּרִי רָע וְעֵץ נִשְׁחָת לֹא יַעֲשֶׂה פְּרִי טוֹב. יטוְכָל עֵץ אֲשֶׁר לֹא יַעֲשֶׂה פְּרִי טוֹב יִכָּרֵת וְיֻשְׁלַךְ בָּאֵשׁ. כלָכֵן בְּפִרְיָם תַּכִּירוּ אוֹתָם.
כאלֹא כָל הָאֹמֵר לִי אֲדֹנִי אֲדֹנִי יָבוֹא בְּמַלְכוּת הַשָׁמָיִם כִּי אִם הָעֹשֶׂה רְצוֹן אָבִי שֶׁבַּשָׁמָיִם. כבוְהָיָה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יֹאמְרוּ רַבִּים אֵלַי אֲדֹנִי אֲדֹנִי הֲלֹא בְשִׁמְךָ נִבֵּאנוּ וּבְשִׁמְךָ גֵּרַשְׁנוּ שֵׁדִים וּבְשִׁמְךָ עָשִׂינוּ גְּבוּרוֹת רַבּוֹת. כגאָז אֶעֱנֶה בָּם לֵאמֹר מֵעוֹלָם לֹא הִכַּרְתִּי אֶתְכֶם סוּרוּ מִמֶּנִּי פֹּעֲלֵי הָעָוֶל.
כדלָכֵן כָּל הַשֹׁמֵעַ אֶת הַדְבָרִים האֵלֶּה שֶׁלִי וְעָשָׂה אֹתָם אֲדַמֵּהוּ לְאִישׁ חָכָם אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה אֶת בֵּיתוֹ עַל סֶלַע. כהוַיֵּרֶד הַגֶּשֶׁם וַיִּשְׁטְפוּ הַנְּחָלִים וַיְנַשְׁבוּ הָרוּחוֹת וַיִּגְּעוּ בַּבַּיִת הַהוּא וְלֹא נָפָל כִּי יֻסַּד עַל סֶלַע. כווְכָל הַשֹׁמֵעַ אֶת דְּבָרַי אֵלֶּה וְלֹא יַעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם יִדְמֶה לְאִישׁ בַּעַר אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה אֶת בֵּיתוֹ עַל חוֹל. כזוַיֵּרֶד הַגֶּשֶׁם וַיִּשְׁטְפוּ הַנְּחָלִים וַיְנַשְׁבוּ הָרוּחוֹת וַיִּפְגְּעוּ בַּבַּית הַהוּא וַיִפֹּל וַתְּהִי מַפַּלְתּוֹ גְדוֹלָה. כחוַיְהִי כְּכַלּוֹת יֵשׁוּעַ לְדַבֵּר אֶת הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֵם הֲמוֹן הָעָם עַל תּוֹרָתוֹ. כטכִּי הָיָה מְלַמֵּד אוֹתָם כְּבַעַל סַמְכוּת וְלֹא כְּמוֹ סוֹפְרֵיהֶם וְהַפְּרוּשִׁים.
