1Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others do, epistles of commendation concerning us written to you, or that you should write commending us? 2You are our letter, written in our hearts, well known and read by all men. 3For you are known to be the letter of Mashi’akh ministered by us, written not with ink, but with HaRu’akh of the living Elohim; not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of the heart of flesh. 4Such is HaEmunah that we have through Mashi’akh toward Elohim. 5Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our strength comes from Elohim, 6who has made us worthy to be ministers of a Brit Khadashah; not of the writing, but of HaRu’akh; for the writing punishes with Mavet, but HaRu’akh gives Khayim. 7Now if the ministration of Mavet contained in writing on stones was so glorious that B’nei Yisra’el could not look at the face of Moshe because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was not lasting, 8why then shall not the ministration of HaRu’akh be more glorious? 9For if there is glory in the ministration of condemnation, much more will the ministration of tzedaka exceed in glory. 10Just as that which was not glorious became glorified; in comparison with that, this excels in glory. 11For if that which was not lasting was glorious, much more glorious will that be which endures.
12Seeing, therefore, that we have such hope, we conduct ourselves bravely; 13and not as Moshe, who put a veil over his face so that B’nei Yisra’el might not look upon the fullness of the glory which was not lasting. 14But their minds were blinded; for to this day, when the ancient Brit is read, the same veil rests over them, and it is not known to them that the veil has been removed through Mashi’akh. 15But even to this day, whenever the books of Moshe are read, the veil is upon their hearts. 16Nevertheless, whenever a man turns to יהוה , the veil is taken away. 17Now יהוה is that very Ru’akh; and where HaRu’akh יהוה is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with open faces, see as in a mirror the Kavod יהוה , and we shall be transformed into the same likeness, from one glory to another, just as HaRu’akh comes from יהוה .
