Kefa Alef 1 – כיפא א פרק א

t.o.c.

1Kefa, a Shali’akh of Yeshua HaMashi’akh, to the chosen ones and sojourners, scattered throughout Pontos, Galatya, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2who have been chosen by the foreknowledge of Elohim HaAv, through kidush of HaRu’akh, to be obedient, and to sprinkle the blood of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi’akh: Compassion and shalom be multiplied to you all.

3Blessed is Elohim, HaAv of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi’akh, who by His abundant mercy has again renewed us spiritually to a lively hope by the resurrection of Yeshua HaMashi’akh from the dead, 4to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, that does not fade away, and is prepared in heaven for you, 5while you are kept by the power of Elohim through absolute trust, for the life eternal, which is ready to be revealed in these last times.

6Wherein you will rejoice forever, though at present you are sorrowful for a while, through diverse trials which have come upon you, 7so that the proof of your absolute trust, being much more precious than refined gold which has been purified by fire, may be made manifest for the glory and honor and praise at the appearing of Yeshua HaMashi’akh, 8whom you have not seen, but whom you yet love, and in whose absolute trust you rejoice with exceeding joy that cannot be described; 9and you will receive the reward for your absolute trust, even life for your souls.  10For which very life the Nevi’im searched diligently when they prophesied concerning the compassion which was to be given to you.  11They searched to find out at what time it would be revealed, and the Ru’akh HaMashi’akh which dwelt in them testified beforehand the sufferings of Mashi’akh and the glory that should follow.

12And everything they were searching for was revealed to them because they did not seek for their own benefit, but they prophesied the things which concerned us, the things which now have been revealed to you by those who have declared HaB’sorah to you through The Ru’akh HaKodesh sent from heaven; which things the Malakhim also desire to look into.  13Therefore, gird up the loins of your mind, be wide awake, and hope for the joy that is coming to you at the revelation of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi’akh; 14like obedient children, not partakers again in those sinful desires for which you once lusted in your ignorance; 15but be consecrated in all your conduct, as He who has called you is Kadosh; 16because it is written, “Be kadosh, even as I am Kadosh.”

17And if you call on HaAv, who is impartial and who judges every man according to his works, conduct yourselves reverently during the time of your sojourning here, 18knowing that you have not been redeemed from your empty works which you have received from your fathers by corruptible silver and gold, 19but with the precious blood of HaSeh, without blemish and without spot, which is Mashi’akh, 20who truly was foreordained for this very purpose before the foundation of the world, and was manifest in these last times for your sakes, 21who, by Him you trust in Elohim, who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him glory, that your absolute trust and hope might rest on Elohim.  22Let your souls be consecrated by obedience to the truth, and be filled with sincere love, so that you may love one another with pure and perfect hearts, 23being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, in His D’var HaKhai, which abides forever.  24For all flesh is as grass, and all its glory is as the flower of the field. The grass withers and the flower fades away, 25but the D’var Eloheinu endures forever. And this is HaDavar which has been declared to you.
