K’doshim (1) 1Moreover, the D’var יהוה came unto me, saying, 2“Now, you, Ben Adam, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then cause her to know all her abominations. 3And you shall say, ‘Thus says Adonai יהוה , ‘O city that sheds blood in the midst of you, that your time may come, and that makes idols unto yourself to defile you; 4you are become guilty in your blood that you have shed, and are defiled in your idols which you have made; and you have caused your days to draw near, and are come even unto your years; therefore have I made you a reproach unto the nations, and a mocking to all the countries! 5Those that are near, and those that are far from you, shall mock you, you defiled of name and full of tumult. 6Behold, the princes of Yisra’el, every one according to his might, have been in you to shed blood. 7In you have they made light of father and mother; in the midst of you have they dealt by oppression with the stranger; in you have they wronged the fatherless and the widow. 8You have despised My consecrated things, and have profaned My Sabbaths. 9In you have been talebearers to shed blood; and in you they have eaten upon the mountains; in the midst of you they have committed lewdness. 10In you have they uncovered their fathers’ nakedness; in you have they humbled her that was unclean in her impurity. 11And each has committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and each has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and each in you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter. 12In you have they taken gifts to shed blood; you have taken interest and increase, and you have greedily gained of your neighbors by oppression, and have forgotten Me, says Adonai יהוה . Behold13, therefore, I have smitten My hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in the midst of you. 14Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I, יהוה , have spoken it, and will do it. 15And I will scatter you among the nations, and disperse you through the countries; and I will consume your filthiness out of you. 16And you shall be profaned in yourself, in the sight of the nations; and you shall know that I am יהוה ‘.'”
17And the D’var יהוה came unto me, saying, 18“Ben Adam, Beit Yisra’el is become dross unto Me; all of them are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of the furnace; they are the dross of silver. 19Therefore, thus says Adonai יהוה , ‘Because you are all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Yerushalayim. end K’doshim (1) 20As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to melt it, so will I gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will cast you in, and melt you. 21Yes, I will gather you, and blow upon you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in the midst thereof. 22As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst thereof; and you shall know that I, יהוה , have poured out My fury upon you’.”
23And the D’var יהוה came unto me, saying, 24“Ben Adam, say unto her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation. 25There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls, they take treasure and precious things, they have made her widows many in the midst thereof. 26Her priests have done violence to My Torah, and have profaned My kadosh things; they have put no difference between the kadosh and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. 27Her rulers in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey: to shed blood, and to destroy souls, so as to get dishonest gain. 28And her prophets have daubed for them with whited plaster, seeing falsehood, and divining lies unto them, saying, ‘Thus says Adonai יהוה ‘, when יהוה has not spoken. 29The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have wronged the poor and needy, and have oppressed the stranger unlawfully. 30And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the breach before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none. 31Therefore have I poured out My indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; their own way have I brought upon their heads, says Adonai יהוה ‘.”
אוַיְהִי דְבַר יהוה אֵלַי לֵאמֹר, בוְאַתָּה בֶן אָדָם הֲתִשְׁפֹּט הֲתִשְׁפֹּט אֶת עִיר הַדָּמִים; וְהוֹדַעְתָּהּ אֵת כָּל תּוֹעֲבוֹתֶיהָ. גוְאָמַרְתָּ כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יהוה עִיר שֹׁפֶכֶת דָּם בְּתוֹכָהּ לָבוֹא עִתָּהּ; וְעָשְׂתָה גִלּוּלִים עָלֶיהָ לְטָמְאָה. דבְּדָמֵךְ אֲשֶׁר שָׁפַכְתְּ אָשַׁמְתְּ וּבְגִלּוּלַיִךְ אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂית טָמֵאת וַתַּקְרִיבִי יָמַיִךְ וַתָּבוֹא עַד שְׁנוֹתָיִךְ; עַל כֵּן נְתַתִּיךְ חֶרְפָּה לַגּוֹיִם וְקַלָּסָה לְכָל הָאֲרָצוֹת. ההַקְּרֹבוֹת וְהָרְחֹקוֹת מִמֵּךְ יִתְקַלְּסוּ בָךְ טְמֵאַת הַשֵּׁם רַבַּת הַמְּהוּמָה. והִנֵּה נְשִׂיאֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אִישׁ לִזְרֹעוֹ הָיוּ בָךְ לְמַעַן שְׁפָךְ דָּם. זאָב וָאֵם הֵקַלּוּ בָךְ לַגֵּר עָשׂוּ בַעֹשֶׁק בְּתוֹכֵךְ; יָתוֹם וְאַלְמָנָה הוֹנוּ בָךְ. חקָדָשַׁי בָּזִית; וְאֶת שַׁבְּתֹתַי חִלָּלְתְּ. טאַנְשֵׁי רָכִיל הָיוּ בָךְ לְמַעַן שְׁפָךְ דָּם; וְאֶל הֶהָרִים אָכְלוּ בָךְ זִמָּה עָשׂוּ בְתוֹכֵךְ. יעֶרְוַת אָב גִּלָּה בָךְ; טְמֵאַת הַנִּדָּה עִנּוּ בָךְ. יאוְאִישׁ אֶת אֵשֶׁת רֵעֵהוּ עָשָׂה תּוֹעֵבָה וְאִישׁ אֶת כַּלָּתוֹ טִמֵּא בְזִמָּה; וְאִישׁ אֶת אֲחֹתוֹ בַת אָבִיו עִנָּה בָךְ. יבשֹׁחַד לָקְחוּ בָךְ לְמַעַן שְׁפָךְ דָּם; נֶשֶׁךְ וְתַרְבִּית לָקַחַתְּ וַתְּבַצְּעִי רֵעַיִךְ בַּעֹשֶׁק וְאֹתִי שָׁכַחַתְּ נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יהוה . יגוְהִנֵּה הִכֵּיתִי כַפִּי אֶל בִּצְעֵךְ אֲשֶׁר עָשִׂית; וְעַל דָּמֵךְ אֲשֶׁר הָיוּ בְּתוֹכֵךְ. ידהֲיַעֲמֹד לִבֵּךְ אִם תֶּחֱזַקְנָה יָדַיִךְ לַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי עֹשֶׂה אוֹתָךְ ; אֲנִי יהוה דִּבַּרְתִּי וְעָשִׂיתִי. טווַהֲפִיצוֹתִי אוֹתָךְ בַּגּוֹיִם וְזֵרִיתִיךְ בָּאֲרָצוֹת; וַהֲתִמֹּתִי טֻמְאָתֵךְ מִמֵּךְ. טזוְנִחַלְתְּ בָּךְ לְעֵינֵי גוֹיִם; וְיָדַעַתְּ כִּי אֲנִי יהוה .
יזוַיְהִי דְבַר יהוה אֵלַי לֵאמֹר, יחבֶּן אָדָם הָיוּ לִי בֵית יִשְׂרָאֵל לסוג (לְסִיג): כֻּלָּם נְחֹשֶׁת וּבְדִיל וּבַרְזֶל וְעוֹפֶרֶת בְּתוֹךְ כּוּר סִגִים כֶּסֶף הָיוּ. יטלָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יהוה יַעַן הֱיוֹת כֻּלְּכֶם לְסִגִים; לָכֵן הִנְנִי קֹבֵץ אֶתְכֶם אֶל תּוֹךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָם. כקְבֻצַת כֶּסֶף וּנְחֹשֶׁת וּבַרְזֶל וְעוֹפֶרֶת וּבְדִיל אֶל תּוֹךְ כּוּר לָפַחַת עָלָיו אֵשׁ לְהַנְתִּיךְ; כֵּן אֶקְבֹּץ בְּאַפִּי וּבַחֲמָתִי וְהִנַּחְתִּי וְהִתַּכְתִּי אֶתְכֶם. כאוְכִנַּסְתִּי אֶתְכֶם וְנָפַחְתִּי עֲלֵיכֶם בְּאֵשׁ עֶבְרָתִי; וְנִתַּכְתֶּם בְּתוֹכָהּ. כבכְּהִתּוּךְ כֶּסֶף בְּתוֹךְ כּוּר כֵּן תֻּתְּכוּ בְתוֹכָהּ; וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי אֲנִי יהוה שָׁפַכְתִּי חֲמָתִי עֲלֵיכֶם.
כגוַיְהִי דְבַר יהוה אֵלַי לֵאמֹר, כדבֶּן אָדָם אֱמָר לָהּ אַתְּ אֶרֶץ לֹא מְטֹהָרָה הִיא: לֹא גֻשְׁמָהּ בְּיוֹם זָעַם. כהקֶשֶׁר נְבִיאֶיהָ בְּתוֹכָהּ כַּאֲרִי שׁוֹאֵג טֹרֵף טָרֶף; נֶפֶשׁ אָכָלוּ חֹסֶן וִיקָר יִקָּחוּ אַלְמְנוֹתֶיהָ הִרְבּוּ בְתוֹכָהּ. כוכֹּהֲנֶיהָ חָמְסוּ תוֹרָתִי וַיְחַלְּלוּ קָדָשַׁי בֵּין קֹדֶשׁ לְחֹל לֹא הִבְדִּילוּ וּבֵין הַטָּמֵא לְטָהוֹר לֹא הוֹדִיעוּ; וּמִשַּׁבְּתוֹתַי הֶעְלִימוּ עֵינֵיהֶם וָאֵחַל בְּתוֹכָם. כזשָׂרֶיהָ בְקִרְבָּהּ כִּזְאֵבִים טֹרְפֵי טָרֶף לִשְׁפָּךְ דָּם לְאַבֵּד נְפָשׁוֹת לְמַעַן בְּצֹעַ בָּצַע. כחוּנְבִיאֶיהָ טָחוּ לָהֶם תָּפֵל חֹזִים שָׁוְא וְקֹסְמִים לָהֶם כָּזָב; אֹמְרִים כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יהוה וַיהוה לֹא דִבֵּר. כטעַם הָאָרֶץ עָשְׁקוּ עֹשֶׁק וְגָזְלוּ גָּזֵל; וְעָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן הוֹנוּ וְאֶת הַגֵּר עָשְׁקוּ בְּלֹא מִשְׁפָּט. לוָאֲבַקֵּשׁ מֵהֶם אִישׁ גֹּדֵר גָּדֵר וְעֹמֵד בַּפֶּרֶץ לְפָנַי בְּעַד הָאָרֶץ לְבִלְתִּי שַׁחֲתָהּ; וְלֹא מָצָאתִי. לאוָאֶשְׁפֹּךְ עֲלֵיהֶם זַעְמִי בְּאֵשׁ עֶבְרָתִי כִּלִּיתִים; דַּרְכָּם בְּרֹאשָׁם נָתַתִּי נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יהוה .
