Ha’Azinu (2) 1And David spoke unto יהוה the words of this song in the day that יהוה delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Sha’ul; 2and he said,
” יהוה is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; 3Elohei Tzuri, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of Salvation, my high tower, and my refuge; my savior, You save me from violence. 4Praised, I cry, is יהוה , and I am saved from my enemies. 5For the waves of Mavet encompassed me. The floods of Bli’ya’al assailed me. 6The cords of She’ol surrounded me; the snares of Mavet confronted me. 7In my distress I called upon יהוה , yes, I called unto my Elohim; and out of His Heikhal He heard my voice, and my cry did enter into His ears. 8Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations of heaven did tremble; they were shaken, because He was wroth. 9Smoke arose up in His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth did devour; coals flamed forth from Him. 10He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet. 11And He rode upon a Keruv, and did fly; yes, He was seen upon the wings of the wind. 12And He made darkness pavilions round about Him, gathering of waters, thick clouds of the skies. 13At the brightness before Him coals of fire flamed forth. 14 יהוה thundered from heaven, and Elyon gave forth His voice. 15And He sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them. 16And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were laid bare by the rebuke of יהוה , at the blast of the breath of His nostrils. 17He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters; 18He delivered me from my enemy most strong, from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me. 19They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but יהוה was a stay unto me. 20He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me. 21 יהוה rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands has He recompensed me. 22For I have kept the ways of יהוה , and have not wickedly departed from my Elohim. 23For all His ordinances were before me; and as for His statutes, I did not depart from them. 24And I was single-hearted toward Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity. 25Therefore has יהוה recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His eyes. 26With the merciful You do show Yourself merciful, with the upright man You do show Yourself upright, 27with the pure You do show Yourself pure; and with the crooked You do show Yourself subtle. 28And the afflicted people You do save; but Your eyes are upon the haughty, that You may humble them. 29For You are my lamp, O יהוה ; and יהוה does lighten my darkness. 30For by You I run upon a troop; by my Elohim do I scale a wall. 31As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of יהוה is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him. 32For who is God, but יהוה ? And who is a Rock, but our Elohim? 33The God who is my strong fortress, and who lets my way go forth straight; 34Who makes my feet like hinds’, and sets me upon my high places; 35Who trains my hands for war, so that my arms do bend a bow of brass. 36You have also given me the shield of Your Salvation; and Your humility has made me great. 37You have enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped. 38I have pursued my enemies, and destroyed them; neither did I turn back till they were consumed. 39And I have consumed them, and smitten them through, that they cannot arise; yes, they are fallen under my feet. 40For You have girded me with strength unto the battle; You have subdued under me those that rose up against me. 41You have also made my enemies turn their backs unto me; yes, them that hate me, that I might cut them off. 42They looked, but there was none to save; even unto יהוה , but He answered them not. 43Then did I beat them small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the streets, and did tread them down. 44You also have delivered me from the contentions of my people; You have kept me to be the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me. 45The sons of the stranger dwindle away before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me. 46The sons of the stranger fade away, and come halting out of their close places. 47 יהוה lives, and blessed is my Rock; and exalted be Elohim, Rock of my Salvation; 48even the God that executes vengeance for me, and brings down peoples under me, 49and that brings me forth from my enemies; yes, You lift me up above them that rise up against me; You deliver me from the violent man. 50Therefore I will give thanks unto You, O יהוה , among the nations, and will sing praises unto Your Name. 51A tower of Salvation is He to His Melekh; and shows mercy to His Mashi’akh, to David and to his seed, for evermore.” end Ha’Azinu (2)
אוַיְדַבֵּר דָּוִד לַיהוה אֶת דִּבְרֵי הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת בְּיוֹם הִצִּיל יהוה אֹתוֹ מִכַּף כָּל אֹיְבָיו וּמִכַּף שָׁאוּל. בוַיֹּאמַר:
יהוה סַלְעִי וּמְצֻדָתִי וּמְפַלְטִי לִי. גאֱלֹהֵי צוּרִי אֶחֱסֶה בּוֹ; מָגִנִּי וְקֶרֶן יִשְׁעִי מִשְׂגַּבִּי וּמְנוּסִי מֹשִׁעִי מֵחָמָס תֹּשִׁעֵנִי. דמְהֻלָּל אֶקְרָא יהוה ; וּמֵאֹיְבַי אִוָּשֵׁעַ. הכִּי אֲפָפֻנִי מִשְׁבְּרֵי מָוֶת; נַחֲלֵי בְלִיַּעַל יְבַעֲתֻנִי. וחֶבְלֵי שְׁאוֹל סַבֻּנִי; קִדְּמֻנִי מֹקְשֵׁי מָוֶת. זבַּצַּר לִי אֶקְרָא יהוה וְאֶל אֱלֹהַי אֶקְרָא; וַיִּשְׁמַע מֵהֵיכָלוֹ קוֹלִי וְשַׁוְעָתִי בְּאָזְנָיו. חותגעש (וַיִּתְגָּעַשׁ) וַתִּרְעַשׁ הָאָרֶץ מוֹסְדוֹת הַשָּׁמַיִם יִרְגָּזוּ; וַיִּתְגָּעֲשׁוּ כִּי חָרָה לוֹ. טעָלָה עָשָׁן בְּאַפּוֹ וְאֵשׁ מִפִּיו תֹּאכֵל; גֶּחָלִים בָּעֲרוּ מִמֶּנּוּ. יוַיֵּט שָׁמַיִם וַיֵּרַד; וַעֲרָפֶל תַּחַת רַגְלָיו.
יאוַיִּרְכַּב עַל כְּרוּב וַיָּעֹף; וַיֵּרָא עַל כַּנְפֵי רוּחַ. יבוַיָּשֶׁת חֹשֶׁךְ סְבִיבֹתָיו סֻכּוֹת; חַשְׁרַת מַיִם עָבֵי שְׁחָקִים. יגמִנֹּגַהּ נֶגְדּוֹ; בָּעֲרוּ גַּחֲלֵי אֵשׁ. ידיַרְעֵם מִן שָׁמַיִם יהוה ; וְעֶלְיוֹן יִתֵּן קוֹלוֹ. טווַיִּשְׁלַח חִצִּים וַיְפִיצֵם; בָּרָק ויהמם (וַיָּהֹם). טזוַיֵּרָאוּ אֲפִקֵי יָם יִגָּלוּ מֹסְדוֹת תֵּבֵל; בְּגַעֲרַת יהוה מִנִּשְׁמַת רוּחַ אַפּוֹ. יזיִשְׁלַח מִמָּרוֹם יִקָּחֵנִי; יַמְשֵׁנִי מִמַּיִם רַבִּים. יחיַצִּילֵנִי מֵאֹיְבִי עָז; מִשֹּׂנְאַי כִּי אָמְצוּ מִמֶּנִּי. יטיְקַדְּמֻנִי בְּיוֹם אֵידִי; וַיְהִי יהוה מִשְׁעָן לִי. כוַיֹּצֵא לַמֶּרְחָב אֹתִי; יְחַלְּצֵנִי כִּי חָפֵץ בִּי. כאיִגְמְלֵנִי יהוה כְּצִדְקָתִי; כְּבֹר יָדַי יָשִׁיב לִי. כבכִּי שָׁמַרְתִּי דַּרְכֵי יהוה ; וְלֹא רָשַׁעְתִּי מֵאֱלֹהָי. כגכִּי כָל מִשְׁפָּטָו לְנֶגְדִּי; וְחֻקֹּתָיו לֹא אָסוּר מִמֶּנָּה. כדוָאֶהְיֶה תָמִים לוֹ; וָאֶשְׁתַּמְּרָה מֵעֲוֹנִי. כהוַיָּשֶׁב יהוה לִי כְּצִדְקָתִי; כְּבֹרִי לְנֶגֶד עֵינָיו. כועִם חָסִיד תִּתְחַסָּד; עִם גִּבּוֹר תָּמִים תִּתַּמָּם. כזעִם נָבָר תִּתָּבָר; וְעִם עִקֵּשׁ תִּתַּפָּל. כחוְאֶת עַם עָנִי תּוֹשִׁיעַ; וְעֵינֶיךָ עַל רָמִים תַּשְׁפִּיל. כטכִּי אַתָּה נֵירִי יהוה ; וַיהוה יַגִּיהַּ חָשְׁכִּי. לכִּי בְכָה אָרוּץ גְּדוּד; בֵּאלֹהַי אֲדַלֶּג שׁוּר. לאהָאֵל תָּמִים דַּרְכּוֹ; אִמְרַת יהוה צְרוּפָה מָגֵן הוּא לְכֹל הַחֹסִים בּוֹ. לבכִּי מִי אֵל מִבַּלְעֲדֵי יהוה ; וּמִי צוּר מִבַּלְעֲדֵי אֱלֹהֵינוּ. לגהָאֵל מָעוּזִּי חָיִל; וַיַּתֵּר תָּמִים דרכו (דַּרְכִּי). לדמְשַׁוֶּה רגליו (רַגְלַי) כָּאַיָּלוֹת; וְעַל בָּמֹתַי יַעֲמִדֵנִי. להמְלַמֵּד יָדַי לַמִּלְחָמָה; וְנִחַת קֶשֶׁת נְחוּשָׁה זְרֹעֹתָי. לווַתִּתֶּן לִי מָגֵן יִשְׁעֶךָ; וַעֲנֹתְךָ תַּרְבֵּנִי. לזתַּרְחִיב צַעֲדִי תַּחְתֵּנִי; וְלֹא מָעֲדוּ קַרְסֻלָּי. לחאֶרְדְּפָה אֹיְבַי וָאַשְׁמִידֵם; וְלֹא אָשׁוּב עַד כַּלּוֹתָם. לטוָאֲכַלֵּם וָאֶמְחָצֵם וְלֹא יְקוּמוּן; וַיִּפְּלוּ תַּחַת רַגְלָי. מוַתַּזְרֵנִי חַיִל לַמִּלְחָמָה; תַּכְרִיעַ קָמַי תַּחְתֵּנִי. מאוְאֹיְבַי תַּתָּה לִּי עֹרֶף; מְשַׂנְאַי וָאַצְמִיתֵם. מביִשְׁעוּ וְאֵין מֹשִׁיעַ; אֶל יהוה וְלֹא עָנָם. מגוְאֶשְׁחָקֵם כַּעֲפַר אָרֶץ; כְּטִיט חוּצוֹת אֲדִקֵּם אֶרְקָעֵם. מדוַתְּפַלְּטֵנִי מֵרִיבֵי עַמִּי; תִּשְׁמְרֵנִי לְרֹאשׁ גּוֹיִם עַם לֹא יָדַעְתִּי יַעַבְדֻנִי. מהבְּנֵי נֵכָר יִתְכַּחֲשׁוּ לִי; לִשְׁמוֹעַ אֹזֶן יִשָּׁמְעוּ לִי. מובְּנֵי נֵכָר יִבֹּלוּ; וְיַחְגְּרוּ מִמִּסְגְּרוֹתָם. מזחַי יהוה וּבָרוּךְ צוּרִי; וְיָרֻם אֱלֹהֵי צוּר יִשְׁעִי. מחהָאֵל הַנֹּתֵן נְקָמֹת לִי; וּמֹרִיד עַמִּים תַּחְתֵּנִי. מטוּמוֹצִיאִי מֵאֹיְבָי; וּמִקָּמַי תְּרוֹמְמֵנִי מֵאִישׁ חֲמָסִים תַּצִּילֵנִי. נעַל כֵּן אוֹדְךָ יהוה בַּגּוֹיִם; וּלְשִׁמְךָ אֲזַמֵּר. נאמגדיל (מִגְדּוֹל) יְשׁוּעוֹת מַלְכּוֹ; וְעֹשֶׂה חֶסֶד לִמְשִׁיחוֹ לְדָוִד וּלְזַרְעוֹ עַד עוֹלָם.
