1“Hear HaDavar HaZeh that יהוה has spoken against you, O B’nei Yisra’el, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Mitzrayim, saying, 2‘You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities. 3Will two walk together, except they have agreed? 4Will a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey? Will a young lion give forth his voice out of his den, if he has taken nothing? 5Will a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where there is no lure for it? Will a snare spring up from the ground, when it has taken nothing at all? 6Shall the shofar be blasted in a city, and the people not tremble? Shall evil befall a city, and יהוה has not done it? 7For Adonai יהוה will do nothing, but that He reveals His Sod unto His servants the Nevi’im. 8The lion has roared. Who will not fear? Adonai יהוה has spoken, who can but prophesy? end VaYeshev 9Proclaim it upon the palaces at Ashdod, and upon the palaces in the land of Mitzrayim, and say, ‘Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Shomron, and behold the great confusions therein, and the oppressions in the midst thereof.’ 10For they know not to do right, says יהוה , who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.'”
11“Therefore thus says Adonai יהוה , ‘An adversary, even round about the land! And he shall bring down your strength from you, and your palaces shall be spoiled.’ 12Thus says יהוה , ‘As the shepherd rescues out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall B’nei Yisra’el that dwells in Shomron escape with the corner of a couch, and the leg of a bed. 13Hear, and testify against Beit Ya’akov, says Adonai יהוה Elohei HaTzeva’ot. 14For in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Yisra’el upon him, I will also punish the altars of Beit El, and the horns of the Mizbe’akh shall be cut off, and fall to the ground. 15And I will smite the winter-house with the summer-house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, says יהוה .'”
אשִׁמְעוּ אֶת הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יהוה עֲלֵיכֶם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: עַל כָּל הַמִּשְׁפָּחָה אֲשֶׁר הֶעֱלֵיתִי מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם לֵאמֹר, ברַק אֶתְכֶם יָדַעְתִּי מִכֹּל מִשְׁפְּחוֹת הָאֲדָמָה; עַל כֵּן אֶפְקֹד עֲלֵיכֶם אֵת כָּל עֲוֹנֹתֵיכֶם. גהֲיֵלְכוּ שְׁנַיִם יַחְדָּו בִּלְתִּי אִם נוֹעָדוּ. דהֲיִשְׁאַג אַרְיֵה בַּיַּעַר וְטֶרֶף אֵין לוֹ; הֲיִתֵּן כְּפִיר קוֹלוֹ מִמְּעֹנָתוֹ בִּלְתִּי אִם לָכָד. ההֲתִפֹּל צִפּוֹר עַל פַּח הָאָרֶץ וּמוֹקֵשׁ אֵין לָהּ; הֲיַעֲלֶה פַּח מִן הָאֲדָמָה וְלָכוֹד לֹא יִלְכּוֹד. ואִם יִתָּקַע שׁוֹפָר בְּעִיר וְעָם לֹא יֶחֱרָדוּ; אִם תִּהְיֶה רָעָה בְּעִיר וַיהוה לֹא עָשָׂה. זכִּי לֹא יַעֲשֶׂה אֲדֹנָי יהוה דָּבָר כִּי אִם גָּלָה סוֹדוֹ אֶל עֲבָדָיו הַנְּבִיאִים. חאַרְיֵה שָׁאָג מִי לֹא יִירָא; אֲדֹנָי יהוה דִּבֶּר מִי לֹא יִנָּבֵא. טהַשְׁמִיעוּ עַל אַרְמְנוֹת בְּאַשְׁדּוֹד וְעַל אַרְמְנוֹת בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם; וְאִמְרוּ הֵאָסְפוּ עַל הָרֵי שֹׁמְרוֹן וּרְאוּ מְהוּמֹת רַבּוֹת בְּתוֹכָהּ וַעֲשׁוּקִים בְּקִרְבָּהּ. יוְלֹא יָדְעוּ עֲשׂוֹת נְכֹחָה נְאֻם יהוה ; הָאוֹצְרִים חָמָס וָשֹׁד בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֵיהֶם.
יאלָכֵן כֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יהוה צַר וּסְבִיב הָאָרֶץ; וְהוֹרִיד מִמֵּךְ עֻזֵּךְ וְנָבֹזּוּ אַרְמְנוֹתָיִךְ. יבכֹּה אָמַר יהוה כַּאֲשֶׁר יַצִּיל הָרֹעֶה מִפִּי הָאֲרִי שְׁתֵּי כְרָעַיִם אוֹ בְדַל אֹזֶן כֵּן יִנָּצְלוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הַיֹּשְׁבִים בְּשֹׁמְרוֹן בִּפְאַת מִטָּה וּבִדְמֶשֶׁק עָרֶשׂ. יגשִׁמְעוּ וְהָעִידוּ בְּבֵית יַעֲקֹב נְאֻם אֲדֹנָי יהוה אֱלֹהֵי הַצְּבָאוֹת. ידכִּי בְּיוֹם פָּקְדִי פִשְׁעֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עָלָיו: וּפָקַדְתִּי עַל מִזְבְּחוֹת בֵּית אֵל וְנִגְדְּעוּ קַרְנוֹת הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְנָפְלוּ לָאָרֶץ. טווְהִכֵּיתִי בֵית הַחֹרֶף עַל בֵּית הַקָּיִץ; וְאָבְדוּ בָּתֵּי הַשֵּׁן וְסָפוּ בָּתִּים רַבִּים נְאֻם יהוה .
