1“Thus says יהוה , ‘For three transgressions of Mo’av, yes, for four, I will not reverse it, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime. 2So will I send a fire upon Mo’av, and it shall devour the palaces of Kriyot; and Mo’av shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the shofar; 3and I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, says יהוה .'”
4“Thus says יהוה , ‘For three transgressions of Yehudah, yes, for four, I will not reverse it, because they have rejected the Torah of יהוה , and have not kept His statutes, and their lies have caused them to err, after which their fathers did walk. 5So will I send a fire upon Yehudah, and it shall devour the palaces of Yerushalayim.'”
VaYeshev 6“Thus says יהוה , ‘For three transgressions of Yisra’el, yes, for four, I will not reverse it, because they sell a Tzadik for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; 7that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the humble; and a man and his father go unto the same maid, to profane My Kadosh Name; 8and they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes taken in pledge, and in the house of their Elohim they drink the wine of them that have been fined. 9Yet I destroyed the Amori before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. 10Also I brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amori. 11And I raised up of your sons for Nevi’im, and of your young men for Nezirim. Is it not even thus, O you B’nei Yisra’el, says יהוה . But12 you gave the Nezirim wine to drink; and commanded the Nevi’im, saying, ‘Do not prophesy!’ 13Behold, I will make it creak under you, as a cart creaks that is full of sheaves. 14And flight shall fail the swift, and the strong shall not exert his strength, neither shall the mighty deliver himself; 15neither shall he stand that handles the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he that rides the horse deliver himself; 16and he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, says יהוה .'”
אכֹּה אָמַר יהוה עַל שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי מוֹאָב וְעַל אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ: עַל שָׂרְפוֹ עַצְמוֹת מֶלֶךְ אֱדוֹם לַשִּׂיד. בוְשִׁלַּחְתִּי אֵשׁ בְּמוֹאָב וְאָכְלָה אַרְמְנוֹת הַקְּרִיּוֹת; וּמֵת בְּשָׁאוֹן מוֹאָב בִּתְרוּעָה בְּקוֹל שׁוֹפָר. גוְהִכְרַתִּי שׁוֹפֵט מִקִּרְבָּהּ; וְכָל שָׂרֶיהָ אֶהֱרוֹג עִמּוֹ אָמַר יהוה .
דכֹּה אָמַר יהוה עַל שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי יְהוּדָה וְעַל אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ: עַל מָאֳסָם אֶת תּוֹרַת יהוה וְחֻקָּיו לֹא שָׁמָרוּ וַיַּתְעוּם כִּזְבֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר הָלְכוּ אֲבוֹתָם אַחֲרֵיהֶם. הוְשִׁלַּחְתִּי אֵשׁ בִּיהוּדָה; וְאָכְלָה אַרְמְנוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָם.
וכֹּה אָמַר יהוה עַל שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְעַל אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ: עַל מִכְרָם בַּכֶּסֶף צַדִּיק וְאֶבְיוֹן בַּעֲבוּר נַעֲלָיִם. זהַשֹּׁאֲפִים עַל עֲפַר אֶרֶץ בְּרֹאשׁ דַּלִּים וְדֶרֶךְ עֲנָוִים יַטּוּ; וְאִישׁ וְאָבִיו יֵלְכוּ אֶל הַנַּעֲרָה לְמַעַן חַלֵּל אֶת שֵׁם קָדְשִׁי. חוְעַל בְּגָדִים חֲבֻלִים יַטּוּ אֵצֶל כָּל מִזְבֵּחַ; וְיֵין עֲנוּשִׁים יִשְׁתּוּ בֵּית אֱלֹהֵיהֶם. טוְאָנֹכִי הִשְׁמַדְתִּי אֶת הָאֱמֹרִי מִפְּנֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר כְּגֹבַהּ אֲרָזִים גָּבְהוֹ וְחָסֹן הוּא כָּאַלּוֹנִים; וָאַשְׁמִיד פִּרְיוֹ מִמַּעַל וְשָׁרָשָׁיו מִתָּחַת. יוְאָנֹכִי הֶעֱלֵיתִי אֶתְכֶם מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם; וָאוֹלֵךְ אֶתְכֶם בַּמִּדְבָּר אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה לָרֶשֶׁת אֶת אֶרֶץ הָאֱמֹרִי. יאוָאָקִים מִבְּנֵיכֶם לִנְבִיאִים וּמִבַּחוּרֵיכֶם לִנְזִרִים; הַאַף אֵין זֹאת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל נְאֻם יהוה . יבוַתַּשְׁקוּ אֶת הַנְּזִרִים יָיִן; וְעַל הַנְּבִיאִים צִוִּיתֶם לֵאמֹר לֹא תִּנָּבְאוּ. יגהִנֵּה אָנֹכִי מֵעִיק תַּחְתֵּיכֶם כַּאֲשֶׁר תָּעִיק הָעֲגָלָה הַמְלֵאָה לָהּ עָמִיר. ידוְאָבַד מָנוֹס מִקָּל וְחָזָק לֹא יְאַמֵּץ כֹּחוֹ; וְגִבּוֹר לֹא יְמַלֵּט נַפְשׁוֹ. טווְתֹפֵשׂ הַקֶּשֶׁת לֹא יַעֲמֹד וְקַל בְּרַגְלָיו לֹא יְמַלֵּט; וְרֹכֵב הַסּוּס לֹא יְמַלֵּט נַפְשׁוֹ. טזוְאַמִּיץ לִבּוֹ בַּגִּבּוֹרִים עָרוֹם יָנוּס בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא נְאֻם יהוה .
