1And the sons of Re’uven the first-born of Yisra’el, for he was the first-born; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given unto the sons of Yosef Ben Yisra’el, yet not so that he was to be reckoned in the genealogy as first-born. 2For Yehudah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came he that is the prince; but the birthright was Yosef’s. 3The sons of Re’uven the first-born of Yisra’el: Khanokh, and Palu, Khetzron, and Karmi. 4The sons of Yo’el: Shema-Yah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son; 5Mikhah his son, Re’a-Yah his son, Ba’al his son; 6Be’erah his son, whom Tilgat Pilneser king of Ashur carried away captive; he was prince of the Ruveni. 7And his brethren by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned: the chief Ye’iyel, and Zekhar-Yah, 8and Bela Ben Azaz, Ben Shema, Ben Yo’el, who dwelt in Aro’er, even unto Nevo and Ba’al Me’on; 9and eastward he dwelt even unto the entrance of the wilderness from the river Perat; because their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilad. 10And in the days of Sha’ul they made war with the Hagri’im, who fell by their hand; and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the land east of Gilad. 11And the sons of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salkhah: 12Yo’el the chief, and Shafam the second, and Yanai, and Shafat in Bashan; 13and their brethren of their fathers’ houses: Mikha’el, and Meshulam, and Sheva, and Yorai, and Yakan, and Zia, and Eiver, seven. 14These were the sons of Avikhayil Ben Khuri, Ben Yaro’akh, Ben Gilad, Ben Mikha’el, Ben Yeshishai, Ben Yakhdo, Ben Buz; 15Akhi Ben Avdi’el, Ben Guni, chief of their fathers’ houses. 16And they dwelt in Gilad in Bashan, and in the towns thereof, and in all the open lands of the plain, upon their borders. 17All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Yotam Melekh Yehudah and in the days of Yaravam Melekh Yisra’el.
18The sons of Re’uven, and the Gadi, and half the tribe of Menasheh, as many as were valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skilful in war, were forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty, that were able to go forth to war. 19And they made war with the Hagri’im, with Yetur, and Nafish, and Nodav. 20And they were helped against them, and the Hagri’im were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them; for they cried to Elohim in the battle, and He was entreated of them, because they put their trust in Him. 21And they took away their cattle: of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of donkeys two thousand; and of souls of men a hundred thousand. 22For there fell many slain, because the war was of Elohim. And they dwelt in their stead until the captivity.
23And the children of half the tribe of Menasheh dwelt in the land, from Bashan unto Ba’al Khermon and Senir and Har Khermon, where they increased. 24And these were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Efer, and Yishi, and Eli’el, and Azri’el, and Yirmi-Yah, and Hodav-Yahu, and Yakhdi’el, mighty men of valor, famous men, heads of their fathers’ houses. 25And they broke faith with the Elohim of their fathers, and went astray after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom Elohim destroyed before them. 26And Elohei Yisra’el stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Ashur, and the spirit of Tilgat Pilneser king of Ashur, and he carried them away, even the Ruveni, and the Gadi, and half the tribe of Menasheh, and brought them unto Khalakh, and Khavor, and Hara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
27The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kehat, and Merari. 28And the sons of Kehat: Amram, Yitzhar, and Khevron, and Uzi’el. 29And the children of Amram: Aharon, and Moshe, and Miryam. And the sons of Aharon: Nadav and Avihu, Elazar and Itamar. 30Elazar begot Pinkhas, Pinkhas begot Avishu’ah; 31and Avishu’ah begot Buki, and Buki begot Uzi; 32and Uzi begot Zerakh-Yah, and Zerakh-Yah begot Merayot; 33Merayot begot Amar-Yah, and Amar-Yah begot Akhituv; 34and Akhituv begot Tzadok, and Tzadok begot Akhima’atz; 35and Akhima’atz begot Azar-Yah, and Azar-Yah begot Yokhanan; 36and Yokhanan begot Azar-Yah. He is the one that executed the Kohen’s office in the house that Shlomo built in Yerushalayim. 37And Azar-Yah begot Amar-Yah, and Amar-Yah begot Akhituv; 38and Akhituv begot Tzadok, and Tzadok begot Shalum; 39and Shalum begot Khilki-Yah, and Khilki-Yah begot Azar-Yah; 40and Azar-Yah begot Sera-Yah, and Sera-Yah begot Yehotzadak; 41and Yehotzadak went into captivity, when יהוה carried away Yehudah and Yerushalayim by the hand of Nevukhadnetzar.
אוּבְנֵי רְאוּבֵן בְּכוֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי הוּא הַבְּכוֹר וּבְחַלְּלוֹ יְצוּעֵי אָבִיו נִתְּנָה בְּכֹרָתוֹ לִבְנֵי יוֹסֵף בֶּן יִשְׂרָאֵל; וְלֹא לְהִתְיַחֵשׂ לַבְּכֹרָה. בכִּי יְהוּדָה גָּבַר בְּאֶחָיו וּלְנָגִיד מִמֶּנּוּ; וְהַבְּכֹרָה לְיוֹסֵף. גבְּנֵי רְאוּבֵן בְּכוֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל: חֲנוֹךְ וּפַלּוּא חֶצְרוֹן וְכַרְמִי. דבְּנֵי יוֹאֵל שְׁמַעְיָה בְנוֹ גּוֹג בְּנוֹ שִׁמְעִי בְנוֹ. המִיכָה בְנוֹ רְאָיָה בְנוֹ בַּעַל בְּנוֹ. ובְּאֵרָה בְנוֹ אֲשֶׁר הֶגְלָה תִּלְּגַת פִּלְנְאֶסֶר מֶלֶךְ אַשֻּׁר; הוּא נָשִׂיא לָראוּבֵנִי. זוְאֶחָיו לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָיו בְּהִתְיַחֵשׂ לְתֹלְדוֹתָם הָרֹאשׁ יְעִיאֵל וּזְכַרְיָהוּ. חוּבֶלַע בֶּן עָזָז בֶּן שֶׁמַע בֶּן יוֹאֵל; הוּא יוֹשֵׁב בַּעֲרֹעֵר וְעַד נְבוֹ וּבַעַל מְעוֹן. טוְלַמִּזְרָח יָשַׁב עַד לְבוֹא מִדְבָּרָה לְמִן הַנָּהָר פְּרָת: כִּי מִקְנֵיהֶם רָבוּ בְּאֶרֶץ גִּלְעָד. יוּבִימֵי שָׁאוּל עָשׂוּ מִלְחָמָה עִם הַהַגְרִאִים וַיִּפְּלוּ בְּיָדָם; וַיֵּשְׁבוּ בְּאָהֳלֵיהֶם עַל כָּל פְּנֵי מִזְרָח לַגִּלְעָד. יאוּבְנֵי גָד לְנֶגְדָּם יָשְׁבוּ בְּאֶרֶץ הַבָּשָׁן עַד סַלְכָה. יביוֹאֵל הָרֹאשׁ וְשָׁפָם הַמִּשְׁנֶה; וְיַעְנַי וְשָׁפָט בַּבָּשָׁן. יגוַאֲחֵיהֶם לְבֵית אֲבוֹתֵיהֶם מִיכָאֵל וּמְשֻׁלָּם וְשֶׁבַע וְיוֹרַי וְיַעְכָּן וְזִיעַ וָעֵבֶר שִׁבְעָה. ידאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי אֲבִיחַיִל בֶּן חוּרִי בֶּן יָרוֹחַ בֶּן גִּלְעָד בֶּן מִיכָאֵל בֶּן יְשִׁישַׁי בֶּן יַחְדּוֹ בֶּן בּוּז. טואֲחִי בֶּן עַבְדִּיאֵל בֶּן גּוּנִי רֹאשׁ לְבֵית אֲבוֹתָם. טזוַיֵּשְׁבוּ בַּגִּלְעָד בַּבָּשָׁן וּבִבְנֹתֶיהָ וּבְכָל מִגְרְשֵׁי שָׁרוֹן עַל תּוֹצְאוֹתָם. יזכֻּלָּם הִתְיַחְשׂוּ בִּימֵי יוֹתָם מֶלֶךְ יְהוּדָה וּבִימֵי יָרָבְעָם מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל.
יחבְּנֵי רְאוּבֵן וְגָדִי וַחֲצִי שֵׁבֶט מְנַשֶּׁה מִן בְּנֵי חַיִל אֲנָשִׁים נֹשְׂאֵי מָגֵן וְחֶרֶב וְדֹרְכֵי קֶשֶׁת וּלְמוּדֵי מִלְחָמָה אַרְבָּעִים וְאַרְבָּעָה אֶלֶף וּשְׁבַע מֵאוֹת וְשִׁשִּׁים יֹצְאֵי צָבָא. יטוַיַּעֲשׂוּ מִלְחָמָה עִם הַהַגְרִיאִים וִיטוּר וְנָפִישׁ וְנוֹדָב. כוַיֵּעָזְרוּ עֲלֵיהֶם וַיִּנָּתְנוּ בְיָדָם הַהַגְרִיאִים וְכֹל שֶׁעִמָּהֶם: כִּי לֵאלֹהִים זָעֲקוּ בַּמִּלְחָמָה וְנַעְתּוֹר לָהֶם כִּי בָטְחוּ בוֹ. כאוַיִּשְׁבּוּ מִקְנֵיהֶם גְּמַלֵּיהֶם חֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וְצֹאן מָאתַיִם וַחֲמִשִּׁים אֶלֶף וַחֲמוֹרִים אַלְפָּיִם; וְנֶפֶשׁ אָדָם מֵאָה אָלֶף. כבכִּי חֲלָלִים רַבִּים נָפָלוּ כִּי מֵהָאֱלֹהִים הַמִּלְחָמָה; וַיֵּשְׁבוּ תַחְתֵּיהֶם עַד הַגֹּלָה.
כגוּבְנֵי חֲצִי שֵׁבֶט מְנַשֶּׁה יָשְׁבוּ בָּאָרֶץ; מִבָּשָׁן עַד בַּעַל חֶרְמוֹן וּשְׂנִיר וְהַר חֶרְמוֹן הֵמָּה רָבוּ. כדוְאֵלֶּה רָאשֵׁי בֵית אֲבוֹתָם: וְעֵפֶר וְיִשְׁעִי וֶאֱלִיאֵל וְעַזְרִיאֵל וְיִרְמְיָה וְהוֹדַוְיָה וְיַחְדִּיאֵל אֲנָשִׁים גִּבּוֹרֵי חַיִל אַנְשֵׁי שֵׁמוֹת רָאשִׁים לְבֵית אֲבוֹתָם. כהוַיִּמְעֲלוּ בֵּאלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֵיהֶם; וַיִּזְנוּ אַחֲרֵי אֱלֹהֵי עַמֵּי הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר הִשְׁמִיד אֱלֹהִים מִפְּנֵיהֶם. כווַיָּעַר אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת רוּחַ פּוּל מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר וְאֶת רוּחַ תִּלְּגַת פִּלְנֶסֶר מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר וַיַּגְלֵם לָראוּבֵנִי וְלַגָּדִי וְלַחֲצִי שֵׁבֶט מְנַשֶּׁה; וַיְבִיאֵם לַחְלַח וְחָבוֹר וְהָרָא וּנְהַר גּוֹזָן עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה.
כזבְּנֵי לֵוִי: גֵּרְשׁוֹן קְהָת וּמְרָרִי. כחוּבְנֵי קְהָת עַמְרָם יִצְהָר וְחֶבְרוֹן וְעֻזִּיאֵל. כטוּבְנֵי עַמְרָם אַהֲרֹן וּמֹשֶׁה וּמִרְיָם; וּבְנֵי אַהֲרֹן נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר. לאֶלְעָזָר הוֹלִיד אֶת פִּינְחָס פִּינְחָס הֹלִיד אֶת אֲבִישׁוּעַ. לאוַאֲבִישׁוּעַ הוֹלִיד אֶת בֻּקִּי וּבֻקִּי הוֹלִיד אֶת עֻזִּי. לבוְעֻזִּי הוֹלִיד אֶת זְרַחְיָה וּזְרַחְיָה הוֹלִיד אֶת מְרָיוֹת. לגמְרָיוֹת הוֹלִיד אֶת אֲמַרְיָה וַאֲמַרְיָה הוֹלִיד אֶת אֲחִיטוּב. לדוַאֲחִיטוּב הוֹלִיד אֶת צָדוֹק וְצָדוֹק הוֹלִיד אֶת אֲחִימָעַץ. להוַאֲחִימַעַץ הוֹלִיד אֶת עֲזַרְיָה וַעֲזַרְיָה הוֹלִיד אֶת יוֹחָנָן. לווְיוֹחָנָן הוֹלִיד אֶת עֲזַרְיָה; הוּא אֲשֶׁר כִּהֵן בַּבַּיִת אֲשֶׁר בָּנָה שְׁלֹמֹה בִּירוּשָׁלִָם. לזוַיּוֹלֶד עֲזַרְיָה אֶת אֲמַרְיָה; וַאֲמַרְיָה הוֹלִיד אֶת אֲחִיטוּב. לחוַאֲחִיטוּב הוֹלִיד אֶת צָדוֹק וְצָדוֹק הוֹלִיד אֶת שַׁלּוּם. לטוְשַׁלּוּם הוֹלִיד אֶת חִלְקִיָּה וְחִלְקִיָּה הוֹלִיד אֶת עֲזַרְיָה. מוַעֲזַרְיָה הוֹלִיד אֶת שְׂרָיָה וּשְׂרָיָה הוֹלִיד אֶת יְהוֹצָדָק. מאוִיהוֹצָדָק הָלַךְ בְּהַגְלוֹת יהוה אֶת יְהוּדָה וִירוּשָׁלִָם: בְּיַד נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּר.
