פרשת לֶךְ לְךָ
1Now יהוה said unto Avram, “For yourself, go from your country, and from your kindred, and from your father’s house, unto the land that I will show you. 2And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you will be a blessing. 3And I will bless them that bless you, and him that curses you will I curse; and in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” 4So Avram went, as יהוה had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him; and Avram was seventy-five years old when he departed out of Kharan. 5And Avram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Kharan; and they went forth to go into the land of Kena’an; and into the land of Kena’an they came. 6And Avram passed through the land unto the place of Shekhem, unto the terebinth of Moreh. And the Kena’ani was then in the land. 7And יהוה appeared unto Avram, and said, “Unto your seed will I give this land;” and he built there a Mizbe’akh unto יהוה , who appeared unto him. 8And he removed from there unto the mountain on the east of Beit El, and pitched his tent, having Beit El on the west, and Ai on the east; and he built there a Mizbe’akh unto יהוה , and called upon the Name of יהוה . And 9Avram journeyed, going on still toward the South.
10And there was a famine in the land; and Avram went down into Mitzrayim to sojourn there; for the famine was sore in the land. 11And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Mitzrayim, that he said unto Sarai his wife, “Behold now, I know that you are a fair woman to look upon. 12And it will come to pass, when the Mitzrim shall see you, that they will say, ‘This is his wife;’ and they will kill me, but you they will keep alive. 13Say, I pray, that you are my sister; that it may be well with me for your sake, and that my soul may live because of you.” 14And it came to pass, that, when Avram was come into Mitzrayim, the Mitzrim beheld the woman that she was very fair. 15And the princes of Paroh saw her, and praised her to Paroh; and the woman was taken into the house of Paroh. 16And he dealt well with Avram for her sake; and he had sheep, and oxen, and donkeys, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and female donkeys, and camels. 17And יהוה plagued Paroh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Avram’s wife. 18And Paroh called Avram, and said, “What is this that you have done unto me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? 19Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Now therefore behold your wife, take her, and go your way.” 20And Paroh gave men charge concerning him; and they brought him on the way, and his wife, and all that he had.
