Parashat B’ha’alotkha
1And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2“Speak unto Aharon, and say unto him, ‘When you ascend [to] the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the Menorah’.” 3And Aharon did so: he lit the lamps thereof so as to give light in front of the Menorah, as יהוה commanded Moshe. 4And this was the work of the Menorah, beaten work of gold; unto the base thereof, and unto the flowers thereof, it was beaten work; according unto the pattern which יהוה had shown Moshe, so he made the Menorah.
5And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 6“Take the Levi’im from among B’nei Yisra’el, and cleanse them. 7And thus shall you do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of purification upon them, and let them cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves. 8Then let them take a young bullock, and its Minkhah, fine flour mingled with oil, and another young bullock shall you take for a Khatat. 9And you shall present the Levi’im before the Ohel Mo’ed; and you shall assemble the whole assembly of B’nei Yisra’el. 10And you shall present the Levi’im before יהוה ; and B’nei Yisra’el shall lay their hands upon the Levi’im. 11And Aharon shall offer the Levi’im before יהוה for a Tenufah from B’nei Yisra’el, that they may do the service of יהוה . And12 the Levi’im shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks; and offer you the one for a Khatat, and the other for an Olah, unto יהוה , to make atonement for the Levi’im. 13And you shall set the Levi’im before Aharon, and before his sons, and offer them for a Tenufah unto יהוה . Thus14 shall you separate the Levi’im from among B’nei Yisra’el, and the Levi’im shall be Mine. 15And after that shall the Levi’im go in to do the service of the Ohel Mo’ed; and you shall cleanse them, and offer them for a Tenufah. 16For they are wholly given unto Me from among B’nei Yisra’el; instead of all that open the womb, even the first-born of all B’nei Yisra’el, have I taken them unto Me. 17For all the first-born among B’nei Yisra’el are Mine, both man and beast; on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Mitzrayim I consecrated them for Myself. 18And I have taken the Levi’im instead of all the first-born among B’nei Yisra’el. 19And I have given the Levi’im; they are given to Aharon and to his sons from among B’nei Yisra’el, to do the service of B’nei Yisra’el in the Ohel Mo’ed, and to make atonement for B’nei Yisra’el, that there be no plague among B’nei Yisra’el, through B’nei Yisra’el coming nigh unto HaKodesh.” 20Thus did Moshe, and Aharon, and all the assembly of B’nei Yisra’el, unto the Levi’im; according unto all that יהוה commanded Moshe touching the Levi’im, so did B’nei Yisra’el unto them. 21And the Levi’im purified themselves, and they washed their clothes; and Aharon offered them for a consecrated gift before יהוה ; and Aharon made atonement for them to cleanse them. 22And after that the Levi’im went in to do their service in the Ohel Mo’ed before Aharon, and before his sons; as יהוה had commanded Moshe concerning the Levi’im, so did they unto them.
23And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 24“This is that which pertains unto the Levi’im: from twenty-five years old and upward they shall go in to perform the service in the work of the Ohel Mo’ed; 25and from the age of fifty years they shall return from the service of the work, and shall serve no more; 26but shall minister with their brethren in the Ohel Mo’ed, to keep the charge, but they shall do no manner of service. Thus shall you do unto the Levi’im touching their charges.”
פרשת בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ
אוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר, בדַּבֵּר אֶל אַהֲרֹן וְאָמַרְתָּ אֵלָיו בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ אֶת הַנֵּרֹת אֶל מוּל פְּנֵי הַמְּנוֹרָה יָאִירוּ שִׁבְעַת הַנֵּרוֹת. גוַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן אַהֲרֹן אֶל מוּל פְּנֵי הַמְּנוֹרָה הֶעֱלָה נֵרֹתֶיהָ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה. דוְזֶה מַעֲשֵׂה הַמְּנֹרָה מִקְשָׁה זָהָב עַד יְרֵכָהּ עַד פִּרְחָהּ מִקְשָׁה הִוא כַּמַּרְאֶה אֲשֶׁר הֶרְאָה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה כֵּן עָשָׂה אֶת הַמְּנֹרָה.
הוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. וקַח אֶת הַלְוִיִּם מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְטִהַרְתָּ אֹתָם. זוְכֹה תַעֲשֶׂה לָהֶם לְטַהֲרָם הַזֵּה עֲלֵיהֶם מֵי חַטָּאת וְהֶעֱבִירוּ תַעַר עַל כָּל בְּשָׂרָם וְכִבְּסוּ בִגְדֵיהֶם וְהִטֶּהָרוּ. חוְלָקְחוּ פַּר בֶּן בָּקָר וּמִנְחָתוֹ סֹלֶת בְּלוּלָה בַשָּׁמֶן וּפַר שֵׁנִי בֶן בָּקָר תִּקַּח לְחַטָּאת. טוְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְהִקְהַלְתָּ אֶת כָּל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. יוְהִקְרַבְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי יהוה וְסָמְכוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת יְדֵיהֶם עַל הַלְוִיִּם. יאוְהֵנִיף אַהֲרֹן אֶת הַלְוִיִּם תְּנוּפָה לִפְנֵי יהוה מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהָיוּ לַעֲבֹד אֶת עֲבֹדַת יהוה . יבוְהַלְוִיִּם יִסְמְכוּ אֶת יְדֵיהֶם עַל רֹאשׁ הַפָּרִים וַעֲשֵׂה אֶת הָאֶחָד חַטָּאת וְאֶת הָאֶחָד עֹלָה לַיהוה לְכַפֵּר עַל הַלְוִיִּם. יגוְהַעֲמַדְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם לִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן וְלִפְנֵי בָנָיו וְהֵנַפְתָּ אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה לַיהוה . ידוְהִבְדַּלְתָּ אֶת הַלְוִיִּם מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהָיוּ לִי הַלְוִיִּם. טווְאַחֲרֵי כֵן יָבֹאוּ הַלְוִיִּם לַעֲבֹד אֶת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְטִהַרְתָּ אֹתָם וְהֵנַפְתָּ אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה. טזכִּי נְתֻנִים נְתֻנִים הֵמָּה לִי מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תַּחַת פִּטְרַת כָּל רֶחֶם בְּכוֹר כֹּל מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָקַחְתִּי אֹתָם לִי. יזכִּי לִי כָל בְּכוֹר בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּאָדָם וּבַבְּהֵמָה בְּיוֹם הַכֹּתִי כָל בְּכוֹר בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם הִקְדַּשְׁתִּי אֹתָם לִי. יחוָאֶקַּח אֶת הַלְוִיִּם תַּחַת כָּל בְּכוֹר בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. יטוָאֶתְּנָה אֶת הַלְוִיִּם נְתֻנִים לְאַהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַעֲבֹד אֶת עֲבֹדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּלְכַפֵּר עַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא יִהְיֶה בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל נֶגֶף בְּגֶשֶׁת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ. כוַיַּעַשׂ מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן וְכָל עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַלְוִיִּם כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה לַלְוִיִּם כֵּן עָשׂוּ לָהֶם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. כאוַיִּתְחַטְּאוּ הַלְוִיִּם וַיְכַבְּסוּ בִּגְדֵיהֶם וַיָּנֶף אַהֲרֹן אֹתָם תְּנוּפָה לִפְנֵי יהוה וַיְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיהֶם אַהֲרֹן לְטַהֲרָם. כבוְאַחֲרֵי כֵן בָּאוּ הַלְוִיִּם לַעֲבֹד אֶת עֲבֹדָתָם בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לִפְנֵי אַהֲרֹן וְלִפְנֵי בָנָיו כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה עַל הַלְוִיִּם כֵּן עָשׂוּ לָהֶם.
כגוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. כדזֹאת אֲשֶׁר לַלְוִיִּם מִבֶּן חָמֵשׁ וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמַעְלָה יָבוֹא לִצְבֹא צָבָא בַּעֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד. כהוּמִבֶּן חֲמִשִּׁים שָׁנָה יָשׁוּב מִצְּבָא הָעֲבֹדָה וְלֹא יַעֲבֹד עוֹד. כווְשֵׁרֵת אֶת אֶחָיו בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לִשְׁמֹר מִשְׁמֶרֶת וַעֲבֹדָה לֹא יַעֲבֹד כָּכָה תַּעֲשֶׂה לַלְוִיִּם בְּמִשְׁמְרֹתָם.
